Something about plague rats.

Ignore the title. Has nothing to do with anything - just the first thing that came to my head. For convenience sake, ignore the ramifications of that. Moving on.

I got a bit of praise for how quickly I was able to knock out the first issue of Nowhere. I'd like to attribute that to a pretty steady workflow I've established. It negates sleep, but it's made productivity pretty routine. I'm fairly proud of it. Anyway, since I've started Nowhere #2, I'm hoping to tweak it a bit further, so I can work on #2 as well as another so-far-unannounced project at the same time with the same steady pace. Of course, when I start working on Nowhere #2 school starts and I get sick. Not "real" sick mind you, I'm not sure what it is. Nicole had a bit of a cough for a while, so I assumed I'd just get that, but instead I'm just real tired all the time. Maybe it's the weather.

The point is, I was really excited about getting shit done, and as I was starting to get even more shit done a bunch of hurdles pop up. As is my life. I'm still getting shit done, just not as fast as I'd like. Whatever.

By the way, in case it wasn't made obvious in the last two paragraphs: I'm working on Nowhere #2. Here's the cover:

I'm still very excited and very scared by this book. As I've said before, waaaaaaaaaay out of my comfort zone.

I think I may have alluded to it in a previous post, but I don't think I officially announced it. Either way, in a few weeks (on September 27th) I will be at Other Worlds Comic Con in Aurora, IL. Click the link for details. More info as I get it. Here's a poster:

And finally, while I'm already working on one super-secret-not-yet-announced project, I recently spoke to Cheeselord alum and fellow homeboy Leo Perez about yet another project. I think it's his baby so I'm not going to say much about it other than it's going to present a completely new set of challenges for me and I'm excited as hell about it. More info soon.

Until then, get to Aurora.
