I'd normally try to come up with some kind of wacky, zany intro here, but I gots nothin'. Sorry. Didn't put a lot of thought into this post. Let's just move on...

I'm working on a new book. It's called Nowhere. Here's the cover for the first issue:

I'm stepping out of my comfort zone a bit with this one, hence the use of colors other than black in the cover. I'm going for something a bit cleaner with the interior art as well.

I hate writing synopsis', but in a nutshell, it's about a girl whose dreamworld is becoming more and more real. I'm going for a Wonderland/Oz kinda vibe, but still very much horror. I don't know exactly how many issues it will end up being, but I suspect it will be much larger than my previous series.

I'm really excited about this one. I've had this idea kicking around in my head for years and the nature of the setting allows for a wide range of bizarre characters. I feel like a raving senseless lunatic every time I talk about specific scenes, which makes writing a synopsis or trying to explain it any way extremely difficult.

My overall goal for this book is to 1: be good horror, and 2: tell a story of a bizarre otherworld that would fit in with Oz and Wonderland without being a direct reinterpretation of those stories. The influence is obvious, but I want Nowhere to be it's own thing.

I'm about halfway done with the first issue. As much as I'd like to debut it at Wizard World Chicago, I don't think it'll be ready in time 'cause the printers take forever. I'm still gonna try mind you, but I'm not counting on it.

So yeah, that's what I'm working on.
