Remember The Moose Post? Where I alluded to some big news? Then I made a blog post about it but didn't actually reveal what it was about?
Well, I still can't reveal what it's about yet. But soon. Very soon.
This is still not The Moose Post.
I'm making a new book.
So I've started a new comic. It's called Satanic Panic! and here's the first cover:
I'm garbage at writing synopsis', but here's an attempt:
SATANIC PANIC! is a love-letter to punk rock and campy slasher films. When a series of bizarre murders happen in a conservative midwestern town, everyone assumes a group of local punks is responsible. When one of their own is fingered for the ghastly killings, the misfits must team up with an unlikely ally to clear their friend's name and catch the real killer; whoever - or whatever - they may be.
That works, right? So yeah, basically "Punk-rock Scooby Doo set during the late 80's/early 90's", but, ya know...without the dog. I'm expecting this one to be about 4-5 issues long. Each cover is gonna be a riff on a classic punk album cover and I may be getting some pin-ups from my fellow Chicago comic goblins. The first issue is almost done. I'm hoping to debut it at Indiana Comic Con.
But Jamie, aren't you already working on like a dozen other comics and projects? Isn't this workload gonna destroy you, rendering you a gibbering lunatic?
Coming very soon: The Moose Post. For reals this time.
