something looks different

I know I'm stating the blatantly obvious, but you probably noticed I've completely redone the entire site.  If you're a long-time reader and somehow didn't notice the new digs, I'm sorry but there is something terribly wrong with you. Get to a doctor. Now.

For the longest time, I've gotten by with a simple Blogspot site that I somehow frankensteined to suit my needs. I stalled on upgrading the site until today 'cause it seems like social networks are more efficient for posting quick updates and interacting with readers. I've come to think of Facebook as the comment section for my blog simply because that's where everyone tends to respond. But I've been getting a lot of requests to set up a proper online store and I really should have had one set up sooner.

So viola, the Simon Store is now open for business. Check it out and tell your friends.

Fair bit of warning, this blog was imported from my old site, so if for some sad reason you're reading through my old posts, disregard any internal links, as they're probably still linked to the old version of the site. Everything from here on out should be fine of course.

So yeah; shiny new site. Hope ya like it. Moving on.

Cincinnati Comic Expo absolutely rocked.

It exceeded my expectations in every way. I met a lot of awesome people and had some really interesting discussions about horror fiction. Granted, I had a lot of little kids asking if my work was creepypasta and I wasn't really sure what that meant, but aside from that, it was easily one of the best shows I've done.

You brought the ruckus Cincy, can't wait to go back next year.

This weekend I'll be heading up to Aurora for Other World Comic Con. I'll be doing the same terrible gibbering things I did in Cincy, but in a more Aurora-ish setting. Jon, Leo, and Angel will be there as well, so there will be many nefarious plots afoot. I don't want to over promise, but let's just say if you want to hear four indie comic creators screaming the classic hits of Limp Bizkit at each other for two days straight, Aurora is the place to be. See you there.
